This is one of the eight Corinthian columns, supporting the impressive dome in the rotunda of this magnificent Palladian country house.
The coffered dome is decorated with plaster reliefs of musical instruments and masks.
Extensive repairs were carried out to the highly decorative plasterwork on the capitals, plaster reliefs and friezes at the castle.
